  3.      The  software has to match the fax-class of the modem you  are  using.
  4. The  AFC/AFX/Pkt-2400 are Class-1 fax. The '9624' modems are  Class-2  fax.
  5. Does the driver match your modem? TSRs and device drivers can affect faxing
  6. too.

  8.      Is  this the only fax machine you cannot send/rec'v fax?  As  hard  as
  9. the  developers of the code try, there will always be a fax you can't  send
  10. to or maybe recv a fax from. Each fax has it's own built-in code, and  it's
  11. just  impossible to make every one perfectly compatible (even  between  fax
  12. machines).  You can try setting  a different speed in your fax  setup.  The
  13. normal send speed is 9600, try 4800 or 7200. (FAX driver will usually  have
  14. to be unloaded & re-loaded).

  16.      *  * At least 1 fax machine (Panasonic) needs to have the  'frequency'
  17. changed  on  the FAX machine to receive from a Faxmodem. Other  brands  may
  18. need this change too.

  20.      If  this doesn;t help, the modem may be broken. If new,  dealers  will
  21. usually exchange it. For repair call 617-423-1072 Customer Service.
